On Feb. 8, 2019, Flambeau School District will host their 12th annual Cancer Benefit. There will be a pep rally at 9:15 and a double header basketball game against Winter High School. The first game will start at 5:45 while the second game is played at 7:15.
The pep rally consists of the paper chain contest, a speech/story, and hair donations. Twenty two people are willing to donate at least eight inches.
During the afternoon hours, there will be silent auction items set out for donations. The auction will end around 7:00 pm. A free will donation chili dinner will be held from 4:30 – 6:30, or until the food is gone.
Face painting, ice cream floats, raffle tickets, concession stand, T-shirts, and sweatshirts will be available. A 50″ TV, meat packages, four quilts, and a crossbow will be part of raffle. Raffle boards are available in the front office.
Over the past few years, Flambeau School District has been able to raise THOUSANDS of dollars for each Cancer Benefit. The money goes towards a few different organizations to help with medical needs and equipment.
Help support the Cancer Benefit. Just being there means a lot to people.
